JFv1.43 released
February 11, 2009This is a small bugfix to the new ADP1.1h version. It fixes the issue with Latitude where it would hang after clicking “I agree”.
The former ADP1.1h version is now named “holiday” instead, to differentiate between it and the true ADP1 image. It turns out that ADP1.1, and the new holiday update to ADP1.1 were (more than likely) actually the firmwares meant for the “holiday bonus” phones that Google employees were given over the holidays.
Enjoy!
For more info on the JFv1.4* builds in general, see the xda-dev announcement thread for JFv1.4*.

A wipe should do the trick. Boot into recovery mode (home + power), then press alt+w to do a wipe. Note: this will clear out all your apps and data, and you will have to register with google again.

you run a normal G1 from T-mobile, you just can run authorized images.
two options:
1) root your phone ( you will loose guarantee)
2) buy a developer Phone

The ADP1 firmware hasn’t been released officially. When I received my ADP1, I made a backup of the stock firmware that came on it. You can download it here – http://andblogs.net/2008/12/android-dev-phone-1-software-image/

Did as per instructions above and it installed all ok but had the same issue as Alexiel with it hanging at the Android title. What’s the go? Didn’t bank on having to (and didn’t want to) have to wipe it and start again… Any other/better suggestions?

You should always do a backup beforehand if you aren’t prepared to do a wipe.

JF, First off I would like to say thanks to all your hard work and great firmwares. I was over at xda reading your posts and d/l’d your radio update but I am new to all this. Dang, it took me two days to install your firmware and get root. My question is how do I go about installing the radio update? Any help is much appreciated! Thanks for your time!

Copy the radio update zip to your sdcard, rename to update.zip and apply as per usual

I’m currently on JF143, great job! Keep up the good work!
Im on a ADP1, and have not updated the radio update, is it safe to just rename the radio_update to update.zip put on flash card and install update?
I’m currently in Australia.

1.43 works great on dev. Had to wipe — too many things were broken with a non-wipe installation.
February 19th, 2009 at 3:54 pm
Is it required to load the radio image again before the update? I update to your v1.43 and the phone wouldn’t work. I then updated back to 1.41 installing the radio image again.

Hey man, first off let me say great job; I’m glad to see someone out there working on the Android like it should be.
I just installed v1.43h, everything works great except the my favs program is gone and no longer on the phone and my contacts are all gone and will not resync, it keeps telling me it has to force close. Any suggestions on what I should do, have you seen this issue before?
Appriciate all the help man!

I did this update and now I don’t have myfaves or IM. Can i just download your jfv142_RC33 and install it on top of this one? Will i get back myfaves and IM? My intention is having my phone rooted but not as a Developer phone. Any feedback will be appreciated.

Is the source code for this hacked version available? I’d be really interested to see the patches. I’m curious to see how easy it was to get multi-touch info out of the touch screen. Also I’d love to be able to hack on it myself.
Thanks

Hey JF… Thanks for the awesome work man. I’ve never seen ROMs out this fast!!! Was wondering if you’ve done any playing around with the 1..5 firmware yet and if so, how it looks. I’m not in any hurries… your work so far has been impeccable, not to mention the help you offer…
Thanks again Freke…
